Zaan Bester

Zaan Bester is originally from Stellenbosch in South Africa, where she was a student and teacher at Stellenbosch University for more than 20 years. Zaan moved to the Czech Republic in 2018 to start a new career opportunity at the University of Pardubice to work in the Language Centre of the University, teaching English. Zaan also supports the International Office and Department of Promotion, working on projects like creating and proofreading content for the University's website and publications in English. She is a polyglot and can speak English, Afrikaans fluently. Her German and French are rusty, she is learning the Czech Language, and she can say a few words in isiXhosa, an African language.
