Tom Hey

Tom Hey is Head of Technologies for Learning, part of Library and Student Services at LBU. In 12 years, he’s held various roles supporting students and staff in their use of digital learning and teaching technology, including Turnitin. He works with School and Professional Service colleagues to envision, plan and deliver digital solutions in response to ‘coalface’ learning and teaching needs, focusing on sustainability, seamless integration and digital capability. Tom was instrumental in driving for an Authorship Investigate pilot at LBU, in response to growing concerns about the proliferation of essay mills. LBU now licenses the Authorship product and is expanding its use in 2020-21.
