Saudia Arabia Professor Leverages Gradescope to Transform the Grading Experience

"The move to online education created a number of challenges for me as a teacher. My students found it difficult to submit their assignments, projects and quiz answers, while I struggled to offer them meaningful feedback that followed a clear and unified rubric. But all of this changed when I found Gradescope.

After trialling Gradescope with one of my engineering courses, I found that my grading time had greatly reduced, and I simply felt more organised. My students also appreciated how easy it was to use Gradescope and had nothing but positive feedback about the tool.

Now, I’m using Gradescope alongside all of my taught courses, leveraging hand-written and coding assignments, LAB reports, and a whole lot more. This assignment variety is what I love most about Gradescope—it works for all of my courses, despite how different their content and mode of delivery may be.

During my time using Gradescope, I’ve been impressed by the introduction of new features that have made the tool even more versatile, including the release of timed assignments, lockdown browser integration, flexible assessment types, coding assignments, and many more awesome features. I also find Gradescope’s customer service team extremely helpful and accommodating, always responding to my queries in less than 24 hours.

Gradescope has truly transformed the way I grade, and I’m certain that my students share a similar positive experience."

Teachers can create a free account, and the Gradescope team offers live fortnightly workshops and online guidance to help teachers get set up quickly – even midway through the term.
