Ben is a senior lecturer and industry fellow in media and communications at RMIT University, where he specialises in the advertising programme. It is very important to Ben that his students learn to write and present their work to an industry-level standard, to help prepare them for the workplace.
“When you’re working in advertising you need to be able to present yourself, you need to be able to speak well, and you need to have good vocabulary,” Ben explains.
Feedback is vital for students to work towards this, Ben says, which is where Turnitin comes in. "Turnitin has enabled me to give very focused feedback for each and every student. Combining that with a very thorough rubric gives them a really good sense of which areas they need to improve on.”
