Turnitin Originality can provide a coverage of support now that encompasses insights around not only when students use someone else's ideas, but also insights and tools to help you decide quickly if the author of the assignment is not the student. Even more importantly, Turnitin Originality is a student-centric service. The new design allows each student the benefit of the doubt as they begin to draft and revise their work using Turnitin plugins to locate and fix citation errors prior to submitting an assignment.

We will use this time to discuss the new capabilities within Turnitin Originality and why it is the new standard in academic integrity.

Some new features included:

  • Ability for students to author and check citations within their own word processing application
  • Improved insights for instructors on writing
  • Submission analysis for when evidence is needed to process an academic integrity claim
