At Turnitin, our mission is to help schools and institutions support education with integrity. To keep pace with the ever-changing digital learning landscape, we're committed to building out a product portfolio that meets customers' evolving academic integrity needs.
In addition to developing new solutions to emerging challenges, we need to ensure the continuous improvement of our core plagiarism prevention services and integrations. In support of this goal, I'm pleased to share that Turnitin has acquired VeriCite.
VeriCite has established itself as a leader in providing originality checking tools that provide tight integrations into LMS workflows and a smooth customer experience. I'm excited for our future product offerings to combine these strengths with the accuracy and scale of Turnitin's plagiarism prevention services.
I'm also thrilled to welcome the VeriCite leadership team and staff to Turnitin. VeriCite CEO Valerie Schreiner, who previously held senior-level positions at Elluminate, Blackboard, and Schoolzilla, will bring a wealth of EdTech leadership to our organization. EdTech veteran Ray Henderson, who served as VeriCite's Board Chairman, will become an advisor to Turnitin.
I'm grateful to have these new partners in promoting academic integrity and excited for what's to come.
Chris Caren, CEO
