Our Lady of Fatima University (OLFU) was seeking an academic integrity solution to assess and vet the originality of student work plus research output in preparation for publication, with increasing demand due to the implementation of virtual and blended learning environments


Since adopting Feedback Studio in 2013, submissions that exceed 50% similarity have steadily dropped.


High intention to use: 80% of faculty members gave a positive evaluation of Feedback Studio based on the pilot test survey.


Improving academic integrity helped form OLFU’s academic integrity policies, with plans to fully integrate Turnitin with their LMS.

By adopting Turnitin, we now have a tool to help students become self-aware of potential plagiarism whilst equipping them with the skills to write authentically and in their own words.

In this case study, we examine the implementation of Turnitin Feedback Studio at OLFU, who was looking for a solution to address and protect academic integrity in the scholarly works of university staff and students.
