Help Center: Writing a Peer Review
When an instructor creates a Peer Review assignment, he or she will set the assignment to either distribute papers to students automatically or allow students to choose papers to review or a combination of both. Papers will become available for review on the start date set for the Peer Review assignment by the instructor.
Students will be able to write reviews for assigned papers using the links to the papers.
How to write a Peer Review for an assigned paper
1. Click on the class name
2. Click on the title of the assigned paper
3. Answer the first topic question
4. Click “submit”
5. Repeat steps 3 and 4 for the remaining topic questions. Once submit has been clicked for the last topic question, the metric questions will appear
6. Answer the metric questions by clicking on the radio button for the number rating you would like to select
7. Click “submit”
Students will be able to select papers for review using the select a paper link.
How to write a Peer Review for a chosen paper
1. Click on the class name
2. Click on the "select a paper" link
3. Click on the write review icon next to the paper you would like to review
4. Answer the first topic question
5. Click “submit”
6. Repeat steps 4 and 5 for the remaining topic questions. Once submit has been clicked for the last topic question, the metric questions will appear
7. Answer the metric questions by clicking on the radio button for the number rating you would like to select
8. Click “submit”
Additional Information
- Peer Reviews can be modified by clicking on the paper title in the student's assignment portfolio anytime before the Peer Review assignment due date.
- Peer Reviews can be saved and closed for later completion by clicking the save and close link at the top of the Peer Review.
