Help Center: Using the Assignment Library

Every assignment that an instructor creates is added to the instructor's assignment library. Instructors can import the assignments from their assignment libraries into other classes within their accounts using the assignment library tool.

How to import an assignment from the assignment library

The class link on the instructor homepage

1. Click on the name of the class you would like to import the assignment to

2. Click on the libraries tab on the class homepage

3. Select the class that the assignment you would like to import was created in from the "assignment set" pull down menu

4. Select the assignment or assignments you would like to import from the assignment list

5. Click the import tab

6. Select a start and end date and time for the imported assignment using the assignment date pull down menus

7. Click submit to import the assignment

Additional Information

  • Instructors can only import assignments from their own assignment libraries.
  • To preserve the original assignments dates in the imported assignment, click the link following the option to preserve dates at the top of the final import assignment set window (step 6).
  • Assignments imported to master classes must be pushed to sections. For information on pushing an assignment please view our article on pushing assignments to sections.
