Help Center: Excluding the Bibliography from an Originality Report
Text in a paper that appears after one of the following headings; bibliography, works cited or references, can be excluded from the Originality Report using the exclude bibliography tool. Both students and instructors can use this tool to view what the Overall Similarity Index (OSI) of a paper would be without the inclusion of material contained in a bibliography. When an instructor uses the tool, the bibliography will remain excluded from the report until the instructor chooses to include the bibliography. This will cause the new OSI to appear in the assignment inbox. If a student chooses to exclude the bibliography this will only effect a temporary change to the report. As soon as the report is closed, the bibliography will be reincluded.
