Blackboard CE/Vista Integration Versions

Turnitin supports several versions of the Blackboard CE/Vista CMS/LMS/VLE platform. All release notes relating to the Blackboard CE/Vista CMS versions are listed below by clicking on the expand link next to the version you are currently using. In CE/Vista, when logged in as a Section Instructor/Designer, there is a tab that is called "Student View" that is supposed to allow the Section Instructor/Designer to see the site as a student might see it. However, with Turnitin Assignments in that view, it will not show the proper student view, but will still show access to the Turnitin Assignment as an instructor. This is a known issue and instructors/administrators should not be concerned that students are actually seeing that view and able to see not only their own submissions but everyone else's submissions to the assignment, when in fact, the students do have the right student view of the Turnitin Assignment and can only see their own submission.

  1. Added a setting to allow/disable web service calls
  2. Added a setting to turn on/off a privacy-conscious integration
  3. NOTE: the ibatis-2.3.3.720.jar, resolver.jar, webctdao-2.3.00.jar, and xercesImpl.jar must be placed in the /deployablecomponents/TurnitinAuthenticationModule directory along with the TurnitinAuthenticationModule.jar file
  4. Fixed "student view" tab functionality
  5. Resolved user role issues when a student was previously enrolled as an instructor
  6. Resolved problems with name substitute
