These rubrics are part of the IB (International Baccalaureate) Middle Years Program, for years IV-V (Grade 9-10) curriculum for Language B—or a second language.

Language B courses encourage students to gain competence in a modern language other than the students' native language, with the long-term goal of balanced bilingualism.*
