SEER: Making the Interactive Rubric PDF

We've received several emails and comments from folks asking how we made The Source Educational Evaluation Rubric (SEER) to automatically calculate the rubric score and percentage. So I made this quick behind the scenes video to show you all the elements of it. It requires Adobe Acrobat Standard or Pro which allows for creating, editing and saving of form fields.

SEERTurnitin worked with educators to develop The Source Educational Evaluation Rubric (SEER) to analyze and grade the academic quality of Internet sources used by students in their writing. Instructors and students who use SEER can quickly evaluate a website and arrive at a single score based on five criteria scaled to credibility: Authority, Educational Value, Intent, Originality, and Quality.

We hope you use the interactive SEER with your students to help them evaluate their sources. It is licensed under Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 3.0 Unported License, so you can share or adapt this rubric to suit your needs—though you'll probably need Acrobat to make any edits.
